| Tammy Shadbolt | London | I stayed at Travellers Oasis from 1-4 February this year and have since been traversing the country down the east coast and up through the red centre. I just wanted to email and give praise to the staff at Travellers Oasis. Having stayed in very many hostels now I can safely say that you guys are by far the most helpful and welcoming hostel staff I have come across and I shall definately be recommending Travellers Oasis to friends. Keep up the good work and thank you for an excellent stay. | Apr 15, 2012 |

| Ali and Clare | England | Hi gang Missing you already, we feel no hostel will ever match up to Travellers' (apart from Tropic days!) I have attached a photo to make you laugh, we went fishing today; I caught Colin the cod for tea and cooked it on the BBQ (which they don;t have at Nomads) and clare rescued a turtle! Hope you are all well. Ali & Clare | Feb 27, 2012 |
| Laura | Australia | hey guys, just wanted to say a big fat thankyou for what you do up there! had an awesome time staying at the hostel last week. in no particular order these were my favourite things about travellers oasis: * free coffee and tea (and the finest powdered milk) * the purple pool * the frogs and vines painted on the dorm walls * aloe vera for silly sunburnt people * the beautiful curly writing on all the signs * the awesome staff & their super service * the high calibre of backpackers you guys seem to attract (takes one to know one... right?) anyways i've stayed in hostels all over the world and there is definitely something special about yours. will spread the word for you down in brisvegas and definitely see you next time i'm in town.. til then, stay classy! laura x | Feb 27, 2012 |

| Amanda king | England | Hi all, Just wanted to send a quick note to thank you for a lovely stay at Traveller's Oasis. The accommodations were fantastic as was the service. It's so nice to stay in a place where people remember your name, we were shocked! John - thanks for great recommendations for things to do and great places to eat! We also met with a woman (unfortunately I don't think we got her name) who made a great recommendation for an 'On the Wallaby' tour and we had a postively fantastic time. Thanks again and we hope to be back in the future. Best, Amanda and Rob King | Jul 11, 2011 |

| Mattias Lindahl | Sweden | Hey Helen! Matt here. Thanks for pointing me in the Yongala direction! :) Will never forget that experience. Everything from the crew, hostel and diving was excellent. I didn't get to dive on Monday as planned, 'cause there were only two booked so we postponed it to Tuesday but that was actually perfect for me 'cause I had some equalization problems before.. the dives were perfect, weather conditions was perfect with calm water and shining sun. We had some surface current but I thought that only made the dives more memorable with a little challenge before you got down to the actual wreck, though there were some OW who had some problems, nothing too bad though.. Cyclone Yasi had cleared the wreck of many corals so you could see the haul and everything which they said you couldn't before. All the fish had returned since the cyclone though, there's so much to see that I even wrenched my neck on my second dive :) If you've dived on the GBR chances are you've seen the same sorts that's on Yongala, but on Yongala they're that much bigger! It's like all fish is on steroids! New species I saw for first time was a Marble Ray (you see it on the picture I attached chilling top of the wreck, picture size was big so I only attached one) and QLD Groper that was bigger than me! No sharks though :( Some things that could be nice to know if anyone else in interested in Yongala. If you get there the day before the dive it's a good idea to shop some dinner before arriving to Ayr, shops close early and when you get to the hostel there's no store around at all. They give you breakfast and BBQ lunch on the day you're diving. Also, right now they're looking for Divemaster Internships and the prereqs. were quite low, OW certification, 25 logged dives, 25 years or older, something like that. Arrived to Airlie tonight and going out on the 3day sailing on Kiana on Friday, weather seems nice so hope it'll be good :) Hope everything is good up in Cairns! Give my best to John :) Many thanks for helping me put my trip together, it's been exactly what I was hoping for and more! Much appreciated! Take care! Best regards, Matt | Apr 3, 2011 |
